Coming Soon...

Well it is official, Caroline Elyse Saunders will be here in less than 2 1/2 weeks, no matter what. She seems to be wanting to come early, or maybe is just trying to show how headstrong she is already, but no matter what, we will get to meet our little girl soon enough. We are trying to relish the next few weeks with Cole all to ourselves, and make sure we get all the "Cole time" we can till she arrives. I know they say your love only multiplies with a second child, but I can't imagine how right now, with how much I adore my little guy. The following are pictures from Thanksgiving day of Cole. He is into EVERYTHING this holiday, celebrating Hannukah the other night at Pops and Grandma's house, and also loves anything Christmas related at this point. (So far the tree is still up, he hasn't demolished it as of yet! It takes a lot of repeating though, that we are to look at the ornaments, not touch them, pull them, etc!). So, all in all, we are ready to become a family of 4! I promise to keep up better with the blog too, so I can catalog Caroline's life just as we have Cole's.

Christmas is a coming... but what about the cards?

And it most certainly can't come soon enough for me! Caroline's birthday is coming soon enough, and it got me into the thought of Christmas cards, and what to do this year. Ours may be a little late in coming, seeing that she won't be born till 12/20, but we do want to include her. One of the cards I am considering is this one, so that we can put all the high points of the year on it, ending with Caroline's arrival. It doesn't get much cuter than that. (Of course this one has someone else's info...that would all change of course). These cards are courtesy of Shutterfly!

I was thinking we could highlight all the trips we took, the fun we had, and all the great times we shared as a family, and then adding finding out that we were adding a daughter to the family, celebrating Hannukah with Jason's family as well, and then her birth.

You can make your own at  http://www.shutterfly.com/, for any kind of holiday cards, http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards for Christmas photo cards, or even birthday invitations, which we will probably do next year at this time for Caroline's birthday!

The holidays are coming soon! We can't wait!

Saturdays in October

Well, the first 2 weekends in October have been very eventful for us here in the Saunders household. We spent last weekend in Auburn, AL, at Cole's very first Auburn football game. Our wonderful friends, the Haon's, were able to secure us tickets, so we headed down, with Grandma DeDe as well, and had a great time, even though we only made it to halftime of the game. Cole fell asleep before halftime even started, and the game was a blowout for Auburn, so we left at that point.

And then, this morning, we took Cole to the pumpkin patch, or pumpkin farm as he liked to call it! He had a blast, even though he was tired. Here are those pictures! Enjoy!

Odds and Ends

This year, along with this pregnancy have been flying by, and it seems like there is never time for me to keep this blog updated! This will change as Caroline comes, I promise, since we will be home for an extended period of time. We are doing well, not much to report. Cole is getting used to the idea of his baby sister coming, he says her name, loves spending time in the "baby's room", and knows that she is in "mommy's tummy". He also tells us that Santa will be bringing her at Christmas time! He sure is a character. She will be here on or before 12/20, which is the day of our scheduled c-section, unless she chooses to come sooner. We are at 27 weeks right now, and just entering the 3rd trimester, so it won't be long!

With the holidays coming up, I will be better about getting more pictures up here, and when she makes her arrival, I will also be changing over the blog to reflect our entire family.

Summer of 2010

So, it is official. Summer time is over. I know, it is still in the high 90's, pools are still open, etc. BUT, when teachers are back at school, summer is over! Anyway, I have been really bad about blogging all summer, and now that we have loaded up the summer pictures on the computer, I will let you know what we have been up to. I will let the pictures do the talking.
Cole, enjoying the meercats at the Atlanta zoo, June 2010.
Cole, the mighty Lion. Atlanta Zoo, June 2010.
How Coley spent most of the summer. In his pool fireboat, but he was usually in Grandma's pool!
At the end of June we traveled to D.C.
You can see how excited Cole was about it!
Jason had to have his picture taken with C3PO at the Smithsonian.
At Rehobeth Beach, DE, eating Kohr Brother's custard.
Cole, on the 4th of July, waiting for the fireworks.
Poppy, helping Cole with his new bike!
Coley and Ya Ya playing in the ball pit!

It's a GIRL!!!!

It has been awhile since I posted, but I have great news!

Baby Saunders #2 is a GIRL! We went to our ultrasound this past Wednesday, July 21st, but she was so stubborn that there was no way for the ultrasound tech to tell, since the baby was asleep and her legs were crossed. SO... we decided to do the elective ultrasound at one of those "boutique" places this morning, since we were dying to know. Turns out there is no question that she is a little girl. We feel like we have won the lottery, first a boy, and then a girl.

Her name will be Caroline Elise Saunders, and she is due around Christmas.

22 months old

Cole is on his way to two, and is always bringing laughter into our household. He says way to many things to even count, has phrases of quite a length down, and astounds us daily with what he picks up. He is most certainly on his way into the terrible twos as well, and lately has become VERY opinionated and though he always tells us that "Mommy is boss, and Daddy is Boss", I don't think he truly believes it. He seems to think it is his way or the highway, which many times it is! We will be taking a road trip with the in laws for  the next week or so, up to D.C. and to Maryland, so we should have plenty of pictures upon our return. Things here are going well. Cole is getting excited about the baby, he keeps telling us it is coming at "Cristmas time", and he says he wants a girl. We will have to see. We found out the sex of the baby on July 28th.
